The New Economic School is private graduate school in economics in Moscow founded in 1992. NES’s degrees are highly valued both in Russia and abroad. The mission of the New Economic School is to benefit Russia's private and public sectors through excellence in economics education and research. 

The core of NES is its resident faculty of 30 young economists with PhDs in economics and finance from world-leading universities, including Harvard, MIT, Columbia, NYU, LBS, and Wisconsin-Madison. NES faculty represent Russia in the global economic community, presenting for international research conferences and publishing articles in top peer-reviewed international journals, including Econometrica, American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of European Economic Association, Journal of Finance, Journal of Business, American Political Science Review

RVC is a government fund of funds and a development institute of the Russian Federation, one of Russia's key tools in building its own national innovation system.

RVC was established by the Russian Government on June 7, 2006. The mission of RVC is to ensure faster development of an efficient and globally competitive innovative system through creating a self-sustained VC industry in synergy with other development institutions, engaging private venture capital, nurturing innovative entrepreneurship and technology business expertise, and mobilizing Russian human resources.


The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech) is a private graduate research university. Established in 2011 in collaboration with MIT, Skoltech educates global leaders in innovation, advances scientific knowledge, and fosters new technologies to address vital issues facing Russia and the world. Applying international research and educational models, the university integrates the best Russian scientific traditions with twenty-first century entrepreneurship and innovation.

Skoltech is organized as a permanent, modern, international university with a physical campus for research and education in Skolkovo, Russia. Skoltech will initially have five primary education and research programs, corresponding to priority areas as defined by Russia: Information Science and Technology, Energy Science and Technology, Biomedical Science and Technology, Space Science and Technology, and civilian Nuclear Science and Technology. Each of these Programs will provide Master’s and PhD degrees to be granted by Skoltech.

The mission of Skoltech is to educate students, advance knowledge, and foster innovation in order to address important scientific, technological, and innovation challenges and gaps facing Russia and the world.
