African American Consulting Network
A.T. Kearney’s African American Consulting Network serves as a platform for recruiting, developing and retaining African American talent within the firm. The network started in 1997 with a mission to provide a forum for mentoring, networking and professional development among the African American consultants. Since its inception, the organization has continued to provide support for its members and A.T. Kearney’s broader diversity goals through the following channels:

MBA JumpStart
- The MBA JumpStart program serves as a forum for recruiting candidates for full-time hire
- A.T. Kearney held is third annual MBA JumpStart Bootcamp, a full-day case workshop with MBA 1 candidates of the MBA Jumpstart program to help prepare students for case interviews

- A.T. Kearney targets minority undergraduate and graduate students who have an expressed interest in the consulting industry

Spring 2010 PDF
Keeping in line with the AACN mission, the network held its spring Professional Development Forum (PDF) in April in Washington, DC. The PDF is one of AACN’s flagship events and serves as a way for our members to stay connected and develops our consultants through a diverse agenda of subjects. The goal is to present topics that will assist with the professional growth of the member consultants.
This year we had three subject matter experts join us to share insights on the following:
- Joel Goldhammer – Government Practice (PSDS/PSAD)
- Josh Brogan – Collaborative Optimization (CO)
- Erik Peterson – Global Business Policy Council (GBPC)
Summer 2010 PDF
This year the group’s summer PDF event was held in Chicago and featured a series of talks on firm-related topics including:
- Diversity & Inclusion — The group held a working session on the importance of diversity and inclusion as it relates to A.T. Kearney, its clients and the consulting industry
- Global Retail Development Index (GRDI) — Mike Moriarty, a senior partner in A.T. Kearney’s Consumer Industries and Retail Practice, discussed the results of this year’s GRDI, A.T. Kearney’s annual study on opportunities for global expansion in developing markets
- Intellectual Capital — A unique perspective to intellectual capital development and marketing was presented by Dave Donnan, a partner in A.T. Kearney’s Consumer Industries and Retail Practice
