Welcome
Greetings and happy holidays to our Americas alumni! We hope you are enjoying the festivities of the season. Amid the year-end rush of deadlines, meetings, parties, and family gatherings, we are taking a moment to reflect on our accomplishments over the past year.
A.T. Kearney exhibited strong performance in 2011, with the highest net fees since the MBO. We added new, highly talented people across the firm, and developed ever-stronger client accounts—both of which are positioning us for a great 2012 ahead.
Our alumni program made huge strides this year. Martin Walker and Erik Peterson from our Global Business Policy Council (GBPC) hosted alumni discussions in Cambridge, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Toronto where they shared the latest insights from the Council’s research on global economic trends and the potential implications on business. The firm hosted alumni networking events in Atlanta, Dallas, San Francisco, Southfield, Toronto, and Washington, D.C. , and introduced company-specific alumni roundtables in select markets. These roundtables provide an opportunity to better understand how we as a firm can help our alums succeed in various markets while also strengthening our A.T. Kearney connections.
Our Alumni Matters Newsletter continued to highlight the successes of our former colleagues across industries and functions throughout the Americas. The newsletter is also a forum to share professional and personal news and to reconnect with old friends.
Finally, through our new placement program, we not only supported several consultants in their transition from the firm, but also created a path for “friends of the firm” to connect with consultants and alumni in transition. The firm remains eager to reconnect with former consultants when there is a mutual interest in returning.
We look forward to continuing our momentum in 2012. Our plans include providing more events (content-driven) tailored to your areas of interest, further supporting our alumni and consultants in transition, and improving our outreach to former colleagues.
Most of all, we look forward to seeing you. So until next time… we wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a great start to 2012!
