John Anderson
John Anderson is a partner in the Public Sector and Defense Services consulting practice for A.T. Kearney. He has over 25 years experience in private and public sector consulting, across a broad spectrum of industries and public sector clients. John has directed over 200 consulting assignments in the area of cost management and operations improvement, and led A.T. Kearney’s transportation and logistics practice for many years.
Representative engagements include:
- Negotiations support for a performance-based logistics agreement for a major aircraft program
- Reduction of titanium costs through the implementation of material conservation, parts nesting, and sourcing strategies for a DoD agency
- Supply chain transformation project for major U.S. A&D manufacturer, including activity value analysis, procurement, supplier relationship management, and logistics
- Design and implementation of commonization strategies across ship systems of the fleet of a DoD agency, including comprehensive analysis of costs estimates related to the design and engineering, material and construction costs, and negotiation management support of a DoD Program Executive Office
Prior to joining A.T. Kearney, John was with several federal agencies, including the Interstate Commerce Commission, Department of Transportation, and OMB.
John has completed graduate work with the Graduate School of Business Management at George Mason University, and earned his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Virginia.
